“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
When we hear the word ‘outreach’ we often think of the jungles of South America or the wilds of Africa. Many of us do not realize that, as believers, we are all called to reach out to OTHERS around us in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities as well as to far reaching places.
Here at CCLV, we desire to follow the example of Christ by reaching out to the lost and needy through both word and deed. We provide many opportunities to reach out into our community and to serve OTHERS through practical acts of love. I want to encourage you to step out in faith today to care for those in need. As you obey the call of God, you will be blessed and forever changed!
Serving OTHERS with the selfless love of Christ is foundational to spreading the Gospel. If you desire to impact the world for Jesus, here are a few ministries you can pray about getting involved in. I look forward to serving the Lord and OTHERS with you!

Calvary Downtown Outreach – Reaching out to the needy in the inner city
“All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.” Galatians 2:9
The focus of CDO is primarily on Jesus, not on physical needs. However, many of the people in the inner city are homeless or have very little so part of the ministry is to provide relief for physical needs. A few times a year, we serve as a church body at the Saturday Outreach by providing food, worship, a clear evangelistic teaching, and set up/clean up which provides an opportunity to minister to the spiritual needs of those who know and those who need to know Jesus Christ.

Compassion Ministry reaches individuals who are shut in and unable to leave their home or convalescent facility. Our goal is to share God’s Word with them, pray with them and fellowship with them on a regular basis. If you know someone in need of this type of visit, please fill out the referral form below and we will make arrangements to visit your friend or loved one.
Please pray for this ministry and how the Lord would use you to reach out in love to those who wait for a visit. If you know of anyone in need of a visit, please complete the intake form and we will follow up as soon as possible.

Therefore, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Isaiah 42:7 – Detention Ministry
“To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.” Isaiah 42:7
Throughout the world, there are detention centers filled with men and women who are in bondage to their sins and living in spiritual darkness. We may not know what circumstances led them to that place but we do know who can set them free. Many are broken, scared and are desperately seeking change. Our desire is to visit the prisoners and reach out with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
We are currently having weekly bible studies at the Clark County Detention Center and have seen God move powerfully in the hearts of men who would have never stepped inside of a church other wise. In addition to bible studies we are also able to do one on one visitations upon request. If you are interested in getting involved or would like more information please contact Jerry Camacho at firstname.lastname@example.org
